Leica GS20 Professional Data Mapper
GIS Data Collection Just Got Easier
The Mapping Tool of Tomorrow is Here Today
The GS20 Professional Data Mapper (PDM) combines the all-in-one simplicity
of a recreational GPS handheld with the power and flexibility of a professional
grade mapping system. Providing you with a turn-key GPS mapping solution,
the GS20 PDM is a professional GPS receiver, antenna, and data collector,
all in an ergonomic handheld.
With the GS20 PDM, powerful functionality doesn’t mean difficult to
use. The menu-driven interface and graphical map display make it easy to
learn so field crews can start collecting data right away. Add to this
the wireless connectivity to PCs and accessories provided by Bluetooth™
technology, and you begin to understand what we mean when we say the GS20
PDM is the mapping tool of tomorrow.
- Triple Data Redundancy Bluetooth™ cable free, Serial Cable, and Compact
Flash downloads ensure you will never be without your data
- Power Page Functionality Multi-tasking capabilities of up to 6 simultaneous
applications means not wasting time opening and closing windows
- Replaceable Batteries Your workday won't be constrained by the life
of your battery
- Cellular Style Keypad Familiar Alpha/Numeric entry as easy as dialing
a number or text messaging
- Rugged Housing and Connectors Equipment that can stand as much punishment
as your field crew
- The GS20 is a GPS receiver, antenna and data collector, all in an ergonomic
handheld package. The high-resolution high-contrast screen is easily readable
under any outdoor conditions. A removable Lithium-Ion battery provides
all-day runtime, and can be easily swapped with a charged battery in the
field.
- The GS20 is the first GPS handheld unit that uses Bluetooth™ wireless
communication with proven DGPS correction technologies to achieve sub-meter
accuracy without a backpack. For data collection in harsh environments
like dense foliage or urban canyons, an optional high-precision kit is
available with an external survey-grade antenna.
- The menu-driven interface and graphical map display make the GS20 remarkably
easy to learn. The unit is field-ready with very little setup required.
Inexperienced users can take a unit to the field and start collecting data
right away. The innovative Power Page functionality provides multi-tasking
capability, permitting the user to switch rapidly between selected application
menus.
- The GS20 provides Bluetooth wireless connectivity PC's and Leica Geosystems’
Wireless Real-Time Corrections Systems (WoRCS). The WoRCS package includes
a belt-mounted Bluetooth communications hub, smart power supply and differential
correction receiver providing everything needed for real-time sub-meter
DGPS data collection.
