Ricoh
Pro G3
The Ricoh Pro G3 -- The perfect partner for
GPS-Photo Link software.
With a GPS integrated into the camera you don’t
need to worry about carrying a separate GPS unit or synching the time
stamps. With the GPS data and the images stored in the same place, all
you have to do is download your photos and let GPS-Photo Link do
the rest. Create web-based GIS reports complete with watermarked
images, satellite photos, topo maps, and street maps. With the pictures
automatically coded by your Ricoh camera, you have one less piece of
equipment to carry.
Here are just some of the features and options
that will make you love the Ricoh Pro G3:
- CompactFlash WAAS GPS Card plugs into the camera
and captures your location as you take pictures and stores data in the
images. Accurate to three meters with WAAS, 10 meters when not
recieving WAAS.
- Optional Bluetooth adapter allows the camera to
communicate with your Bluetooth GPS and other
wireless devices.
- FTP or E-mail your photos to your desktop or PDA
using a CompactFlash WiFi 802.11b card or a
CompactFlash Ethernet card.
- Available accessories like a ruggedized camera
sleeve and sun shade, SD Memory Card, or Serial CompactFlash card make
the Ricoh Pro G3 even more versatile.
And with 3.24 effective mega pixels and 3x Optical Zoom,
you’ll be hard-pressed to find a camera that meets your needs for GPS
mapping. Only Ricoh can make GPS-Photo Link even more valuable to you
business or organization.
GPS-Photo Link Ricoh Edition Specific Features:
GPS-Photo Link Ricoh Edition is a special version of GPS-Photo Link
designed especially for the Ricoh Pro G3. Here are just some of the
special features in GPS-Photo Link for the Ricoh Pro G3:
- The Ricoh camera can store 5 different memos or
field notes for each picture taken. GPS-Photo Link extracts these and
places them in the output files (web pages, text and ESRI shape files).
You can use the Ricoh Caplio software, List Editor, to create the lists
and store them on your camera.
- You can name the pictures based on a Ricoh Memo field you can
enter into the camera before taking the pictures. If you take more than
one picture from the same location, the files will have "-1" and "-2"
appended (see Rename files in the File Output screen).
- If you use ESRI’s ArcMap, you will enjoy the GPS-Photo Link’s
extension that displays Ricoh Memos along with the
photo when hovering over a feature point.
- Photos can be batched processed, automatically
started from another application such as an FTP server to process the
photos when they are received.
- Comment defaults to Ricoh Memo1, allows the memo to be
watermarked on the photo.
- You can now link AVI movies taken with the
Ricoh camera. You need to take a normal picture first, and then capture
a movie. The movie will be matched to the picture point. Memos will
also be extracted from the movie. The web page that is created will
play the video. ESRI ArcGIS extension will play the video when the
photo point is clicked.
