eTrex Venture, Legend and Vista are among the industry's smallest GPS handhelds. Packaged in waterproof cases, these new handhelds have a powerful feature set. GARMIN's patented 12-channel GPS receiver provides for reliable and accurate positioning in extreme environments. The eTrex venture, Legend and Vista each contain a GARMIN ARM processor design which easily supports extremely detailed mapping including millions of business listings. Mapping detail is presented on a new high resolution liquid crystal display (288 X 160 pixel, FSTN). All three units have an new innovative rocker switch on the front which allows for quick and accurate map panning, as well as selection and enter functions. With optional MapSource detail loaded, these new products will display address and business listings.
As a result of new processing speed, built-in memory and the crisp, high resolution display, eTrex venture, Legend and Vista offer full-feature navigation capabilities. Satellite status, navigation displays and mapping provide details for both the basic and advanced user. Position format may be selected including Latitude/Longitude, MGRS and Loran TDs. User interface may be customized for English, French, German, Italian or Spanish.
eTrex Venture
Offers a worldwide database of cities and increased internal memory. The memory capacity of one megabyte allows the eTrex Venture to accept downloaded information from GARMIN's new MapSource Points of Interest CD-ROM. The CD enables users to download locations such as restaurants, hotels, shopping, entertainment, campgrounds, navaids, etc. Once the information is loaded into the unit, you can lookup a destination and view the telephone and address information. eTrex Venture comes housed in a stylish translucent green case and ships with worldwide cities loaded into memory.

eTrex Legend
Contains a built-in basemap for North, South and Central America. The basemap contains lakes, rivers, cities, interstates, highways, coastlines and interstate exit information (USA only).The eTrex Legend is equipped with 8 megabytes of built-in memory. This internal memory allows eTrex Legend to accept downloaded map data from GARMIN's entire line of MapSource CD-ROMs, including MapSource Metroguide, which offers residential street-level detail, addresses and points of interest. The eTrex legend is housed in a stylish, translucent blue case.

eTrex Vista
In addition to the features of the eTrex Legend, the Vista contains a built-in barometric altimeter and electronic compass. The compass provides bearing information while you are standing still and the altimeter determines your precise altitude and provides a geographic profile of your trip. The eTrex Vista also contains eight megabyes of internal memory for storing detailed map data. eTrex Vista is housed in a high-tech looking silver case.
